Writing Your Articles
There are several things that you need to take into consideration when writing an article: which keyword phrase you want to get listed under, who your audience is, and how to generate ideas that everyone wants to read about. Remember to put your audience first. What you may want to say in your article includes: what’s in it for them, what are the benefits they can get from your recommended products or services, and action calls to encourage your audience to take action.
Below are a few ideas for an article:
1. Write a product/eBook review:
Every time you see a new e-Book, write to the author and ask if you can get a ‘review copy’. You can get a free copy if you’re luck enough. It’s easy to write a book review. What I do is summarizing the points that impressed me most.
2. Write a business news article:
You can subscribe to one of the Internet News services or Press Release services and use the information you receive to write articles on the latest developments in your field. I recommend the following websites:

3. Write a story or an anecdote:
If your article is boring, your audience will not read it and your potential of pre-selling your offers will be limited. A great way to captivate your audience is to tell them a story or tidbit. Have you made a big mistake or had a frustrating experience on the Internet? Just write about it. People love reading about scams or others’ mistakes.
4. Write a ’step-by-step’ article:
People have short attention spans. They want quick and easily-absorbed content, not long articles. ‘How to’ or ’step-by-step’ articles are always in great demand. You can write an article on the tips you’ve picked up on some aspect of running an online business.
Tips On Getting Your Articles Clicked On and Listed Top On Search Engines
You need to have basic SEO knowledge when tweaking your article to make it friendlier to search engines. The title is the most important. Make it more clickable when it shows up on Google, Yahoo or MSN by adding eye-catching words. Don’t forget to insert keywords and description within the meta tags on the web page. You may also want to include a headline (or <h1> tag) with the keyword phrases you are targeting. The higher up on the page you have a relevant headline, the greater your chances of getting listed.
Those of you who are regular bloggers or copyrighters must be aware that the title of your article has a great impact on how often it’ll be read. Choose a magnetic tile that prompts a closer look. For publishers who search article directories for content to pick up your article, you must include eye-catching keywords in your title to have your article clicked and finally get published if you’re luck. Although you can go back and edit your article/title, you should get it right when your article is first posted. Experience tells me that articles get the majority of clicks within the first two weeks after they are featured in article websites’ high-trafficked category pages. After that, the traffic received quickly drop off as new articles are being published by other authors.
Moreover, your articles should be anywhere from 400-600 keywords in length. These are the ideal size to get listed within search engines and allow you enough text to promote. You may want to break down a long article into smaller topics and then submit them separately.
Use basic grammar and insert some sort of personality while you’re writing an article. Forget the fact that you are writing an article. Pretend that you are writing a letter to a friend. Make it easy to read and add your personal appeal. It is much easier to connect with your audience on an emotional level if you show a personal side, rather than to appear as an automated webpage.
In terms of keyword density, or how many times your main keyword phrases should appear on any page, you should have between 3-7 occurrences. Any more than this will appear to be spam to the search engines, and any less will not be enough to get listed under those search terms. There are tools available out there that allow you to quickly check the keyword density on your web page. I use the keyword density feature that comes with XSitePro and the ‘keyword density checker’ provided for Wealthyaffilate members.
Getting someone to write articles for you
It is important to write unique content since doing so is rewarded within search engines. But this is very time-consuming, and time is what Internet marketers can not get enough of. Fortunately, you can outsource to people who write articles for a living.
You can hire a ghostwriter through elance.com. Say, you wanted 5 articles about Internet marketing. You would specify the keywords you want to get listed under search engines and the length of your article in your ad. Independent copyrighters will bid on your assignment. This can be an inexpensive way to get the job done for you.
