Today I got an email from my Berry Tree upline Shane Woods. He reveals the secret behind his creation of a successful online business. I like what he says in the mail and want to share it with you. Below is the excerpt:
Maybe you’ve heard this before . . .
“Look at the income of the 5 people that you hang out with most and your income will be roughly the average of those people.”
I’ve heard it many times, and have done a lot of introspection on this idea. I do believe it to be absolutely true, but for many of us it’s just not that easy to seek out 5 highly successfully people and hang out with them enough for their ideals to rub off.
I look at the people I hang out with most, and when I do an income analysis of what they make compared to myself I’m left scratching my head.
Why?
I’m doing way better than all of them. I don’t say this to brag, but rather to try to work out why I’ve been able to achieve success when I don’t necessarily hang out with hyper successful people.
You wanna know what I discovered?
I cheated my way to where I am. There is absolutely a way to rub elbows with the best and brightest and have their way of thinking rub off on you enough to make great gains in you life.
What has allowed me to break away from the pack while still spending most of time with them?
The one thing I do is I listen to motivational material every single day and it’s rubbed off on me in a big way.
My iPod is packed with Jim Rohn, Les Brown, Earl Nightingale, Zig Ziglar, Napoleon Hill, etc. You name it and I’m listening to it on a daily basis.
It’s literally a way to cheat your way to a millionaire mindset.
Wake up each day and listen to something highly motivational for an hour and you’ll see just how little time it will take you to start approaching those goals you once
thought were just dreams.
Thanks,
Shane Woods

This is one of the most important lessons I’ve learned in my whole life. For so many years, now matter how many goals I set and no matter how hard I worked, I never seemed to accomplish much. This is because I had no distinction between my goals and my vision. What opened up my life to an entirely new level is when I realized that my vision is not my goal at all. A goal is something you want to achieve within a specific period of time, while vision is what you expect or what you see for yourself. Your vision is perhaps the most important determining factor for your success.
