“Home Typists Needed! Make a Daily $100-$200 in Less than 30 Minutes. Money straight into your bank account!” — You may have seen similar ads like this one. Scams are now flooding the Internet, preying on unsuspecting work-at-home wannabes. What those poor victims usually get is a sales pitch to buy an overpriced eBook/membership that will tell them how they can make money typing at home.
These so-called “Home Typist Opportunity” sites usually have a riveting sales letter that grabs you like a vice and stubbornly refuses to let go. It makes you feel that you can gain financial freedom you’ve been dreaming of by using their insider information or secret weapons. Unfortunately, their information is often useless – pure GOAT DUNG to some extent. In my opinion, they are trying to mislead people and scraping under the legal limits of “truth in advertising” to call it a “type at home”opportunity.
What they actually provide is just a little more than an introduction on how to use Google Adwords. It gives you just enough information to LOSE a lot of money. Advertising on Google is not something you can afford to screw up. It takes real skills and techniques to win over the competition. Don’t take what is said on the sales letter at face value.
Do me a favor. Type “home typer” or “type at home” into Google and read those brilliant sales letters. But for the love of anything that is holy, don’t buy it!”Type an ad and you can make hundreds of bucks in two weeks”? This is real BS! If affiliate marketing is that easy, everybody would be earning money doing it.
However, you really CAN make a very nice and comfortable living working from your house by promoting affiliate products using Google Adwords. What in the heck do I know that? Because that is what I’m doing now and I know it. Making money online is not rocket science, but you need a realistic path to follow.
Here are 3 things I recommend:
1. Approach your business like a business:
Stop believing the “get rich overnight” BS. Don’t expect to jump on that bike and glide down the road with the wind blowing in your hair like Fabio with Lance Armstrong’s bike riding ability. You will have to do some work. And it will take time, patience and persistence. I am not trying to discourage you, by any means. I just don’t want you to go into this with false hopes. At first, you are going to jerk down the road because it’s a tough market out there. But if you are careful and plan your strategy, you can create income streams that will require very little effort on your part once you have put them on autopilot. Establishing an online business is one that has a learning curve, but the curve is a lot smaller than any other business.
2. Get the right guide:
The guide you need should not only show you the ins and outs of Google Adwords, but also take you behind the scenes and show you how to apply this to affiliate programs the right way, including very specific details.

3. Have a coach to answer your questions if you get stuck:
You can learn all the basics from a book, but like learning to ride a bike you have to get on and ride, and you have to expect to take a few tumbles. If you don’t have Dad jogging behind you to catch you when you fall, your wipeouts are going to hurt a lot worse.

Great rewards are there for the taking. You just need to start off on the right foot and have realistic expectations in the beginning. The next time you bump into a website selling some sort of “Type-At-Home” opportunity, don’t fall into the trap of believing your can get rich overnight with its secret weapons. But don’t leave right away, read their ad copy and learn from it. This is the only thing you can get from them.
