Article Marketing – How to Gain Benefits from It

We’re selling things every day, whether it be recommending friends or family folks a good movie or a popular restaurant, but we do this kind of word of mouth advertising so unconsciously that we’re not aware of it even as we’re doing it.

I’m not afraid to let people know that I’m promoting a program or service as long as it is good. To be honest, I enjoy selling things very much, especially through article marketing. What is article marketing? you may ask. Well, it is writing about something you’re passionate with, posting the the article you write on the Net, and making money out of it. I posted articles on this powerful adverting method a couple of months ago.

You may want to use the search/find feature to locate them.

Let’s skip the ABC of article marketing and go straight to the topic I’m going to talk about today — How to write articles to boost or jump start your article marketing campaign(s).

OK. You have decided to write an article. It should be something you are passionate about or, at the very least, you have some knowledge of it.

First of all, let’s delve into the depths of researching the substance of your articles.

Reseaching Your Subject

If you are passionate and know enough about the article subject, you will probably be able to write a 700 – 1000 word article in less than 30 minutes. To find a niche market for your articles, you may want to join Click Bank and see what’s the hottest product(s) at the moment.

Once you have chosen your niche, start using search engines to get a feel about it with the information that’s being returned for your search phrases.

Visit popular article directories, such as Ezinearticles, Goarticles, and BestArticlesArchive. Do a search of these article directories to see what information other marketers are submitting.

Check out Forums to see what questions people are asking then write an article with the information they are seeking. Give people what they want.

Writing Your Articles

1. Write it yourself.

The majority of people will immediately say “I can’t write”. This is utter nonsense. It’s all about comfort zones. If we are not prepared to expand our comfort zones just because we don’t want to, then nothing will ever get done.

Make sure you are providing quality content. As long as you have given the reader a quality article, they will start to trust you and eventually buy from you.

Basically, articles are written to either to directly inform the reader or Indirectly sell to them. The sales part is through your resource or bio box, which is worth spending some time to get an expected result.

So you now have the article written with quality content. Let’s look at the resource box.

Try to give your readers some reason to click on the links in your resource box. If they have enjoyed your article and want more information then that is a good reason. Let them know that you do have more for them but they will have to go to your website.

2. Out-source Your Articles

There are numerous sites dedicated to outsourcing – Elance is probably the best one available out there. You can hire a Pro to write articles for just about anything you want.

It can be as cheap as $5 per article but you still need to know exactly what to ask for. It’s no good saying “giving me an article on …”. You must be very specific on subject, title, keywords, keyword density and you generally have to supply resources for the ghost writer to refer to.

Check the feedback of people you intend to hire because cheapest is not always best. You may be able to secure a more cost effective per article price if you want 10 or more articles written around the same theme.

3. Use Private Label Rights (PLR) articles

In my experience these articles are sub standard and I would be ashamed to post them for review by a human editor. Of course, you can alter an article so ti magically becomes unique to avoid any duplicate content penalties from search engines. However, the time spent changing a “PLR article” could be better spent doing your own research. If you haven’t tried PLR take an article and run it through Copyscape.com. Now see how long it will take for you to make a unique article.

Moreover, you can buy software to transform a rubbish article into thousands of “unique articles” in seconds. The whole process reeks of cheating, but it definitely is not giving the reader quality content. You can, however, obtain some ideas for niche markets and give yourself a starting point for writing.
