When I started my first online business, I was afraid of falling victim to a scam or being ripped-off simply because there were loads of How-To manuals out there. Why? You may ask. I think sometimes we all need a good mentor to learn something we can’t learn this from an e-book. Some real-life, hands-on experiences. You see, you can only learn from experience, either your own, or that of others. Unless you have lots of time and money to blow getting your apprenticeship in making money online, you need a good guide. Follow in the train tracks of those with fruit on the tree.
It’s like riding a bike. Do you recall your first attempt? I remember the first time I learned how to ride a bike so well. My father followed me along all way, and I managed about 20 yards before tripping over and falling into a well positioned clump of nettles. I knew the theory. Many so-called gurus out there often use attractive promises on their sales pages to lure innocent readers into buying their stuff. “Buy my book, my course… it will make you rich, make your dreams come true …” Yes, you need tools and knowledge, but what I am saying is that you need someone to guide you, to pick you up, and tell you why your trousers got stuck in the chain causing you to fall into stinging nettles … they’ve been there … they can say you need to put some clips on, or tuck them in …
Truth is, without a good mentor, most people would never achieve success, even making a single, lousy dime online.
